Total Quality Management, is an idea where you control the processes that affect the quality of your goods and services. Inspecting widgets as they come off the end of the production line doesn’t improve the quality of your output, because you can not “observe in” quality.
Understanding all the aspects that form the inputs to those products and services; documenting all the procedures needed to complete them; therefore producing a more consistent output; that is the guiding principle of TQM.
This is the basis for all our work, and the theory behind ISO9001.
ISO9001:2015 is the latest version of the standard and describes a system to help with quality management. It is monitored by a Notified Body, that themselves are certified and monitored. There is a periodic audit of the organisation’s systems and policies to check for evidence that the processes match up to ISO9001, called compliance.
Implementing a Quality Management System (QMS) therefore can increase your productivity, eliminate mistakes and improve your bottom line. Powerful Stuff! We recommend that you investigate this today!
